British Grand Prix - Camping
Camping at the Motocross Grand Prix of Great Britain will be split across three separate sites, with one site dedicated solely to families.
Platinum Site
The platinum campsite is an extension of the Youthstream village and the pit complex, so campers will be right in the middle of the action all weekend long.
Campers on the platinum site will enjoy dedicated access points, and the camping fee also includes complementary pit passes for four adults and a souvenir event programme.
The platinum campsite has onsite toilets and effluent disposal facilities, both of which will be open 24 hours a day. The site is also subject to 24 hour security.
The platinum campsite is only open to motorhomes and converted self-sufficient vehicles. Sorry, but no tents are permitted in the platinum campsite.
Pitches on the platinum campsite are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Please note: No vehicle movement will be allowed once sited until the vehicle is ready to vacate the site. Due to health and safety regulations awnings may not be erected.
Platinum Site - Pricing and Booking
The cost of the platinum campsite is £100.00 per pitch. This includes camping for four adults, but you must book advanced weekend entry tickets for each adult utilising the platinum campsite pitch, as the platinum campsite is within the boundary of the circuit. Children under 12 are free, but a valid event entry ticket must be purchased for each child to access the campsite.
Additional adults (over and above the four included in the price for each platinum campsite pitch) will be charged at £15.00 per person. Again, each person using the platinum campsite must be in possession of an entry ticket to access the campsite.

Family Site
This year there is a specific camping area set aside for families at Windmill Field North in the village of Kirkby Mallory. This area is separate from the main campsite, and has been designed to provide an ideal base for families with small children or those wanting a more relaxed area.
Pitches on the family site will be allocated on arrival with priority given to campers who have purchased an advanced family ticket with camping. All campers using the family campsite also need to be in possession of an event ticket for the days on which they camp.
Onsite facilities include running water, showers, toilets, 24 hour security and food outlets.
Please note: Places on the family campsite will be allocated on a first come, first served basis over the weekend. If there are no spaces on the family site when you arrive then you will be located in the main site.

If booked before 23rd May, the cost of a family pitch will be £35.00. This cost includes camping for up to 4 adults, but you must purchase an event entry ticket for each adult utilising the campsite area, as it is within the boundary of the circuit. Children under 12 are free, but an event entry ticket will need to be purchased for each child to enter the campsite area. Each additional adult above the included four will be charged a fee of £5.00 person.
Advanced bookings can be made until 23rd May 2009, the cost per pitch will then be £45.00 and only available at the event, so book early to make the biggest savings.
